A Message from James Cartlidge MP
Earlier this year, Suffolk County Council released an initial business case for the Sudbury bypass which clearly showed that Sudbury and the surrounding areas would greatly benefit from this traffic management scheme. Following its release I arranged a visit from the Roads Minister, Jesse Norman MP, who witnessed at first hand the quantity of HGVs travelling through Sudbury and the pollution and damage this has caused to our historic town.
During his visit, the Minister emphasised the need for signs of local support and as such I have decided to launch a cross-party parliamentary petition.
The petition is available to sign online using the following link: www.sudburybypass.org.uk and is available to sign at a number of local businesses, including Winch and Blatch (a full list can be found at: www.jamescartlidge.com/sudbury-bypass-petition). There is also an opportunity to sign the petition at the Bypass Petition market stall on Market Hill in Sudbury Town Centre on Saturday 7th October and Saturday 21st October from 09:00-12:00.
I would greatly appreciate your support for the Sudbury Bypass. If you do have any further questions relating to the bypass or petition please do not hesitate to contact me on [email protected] or by calling my office on 020 7219 4875.
