Sudbury Town Council…. The Conservative Group is looking for Candidates!
Would you like to work on exciting plans to make the Town of Sudbury fit for the future? Are you concerned that local authorities should be run in a business-like way? Do you want to help and support local people in the community?
Elections to Sudbury Town Council are to be held in May 2019 and we are looking for people, living within three miles of the town centre, who think that they could make a positive contribution as a Conservative Town Councillor.
Over the past few years the Conservative Group on the Town Council has: -
- led the way in working in developing exciting aspirations for the town centre.
- encouraged a more business-like approach by developing a fully worked through business plan for the council.
- supported local organisations and participated in events aimed at supporting the community.
Sudbury Town Council has some 24 employees and an annual budget of close to £1m. It runs the town market, a thriving Community Warden Scheme, a local advice centre supporting local government across the county, and the Tourist Information Centre. The council also has a significant role working with other local authorities and bodies to improve every aspect of the town.
Please contact Jenny Antill, on 01787 378310, or the Conservative Party Office if you would like to discuss becoming a Sudbury Town Councillor.
